I could give it one star or five so I gave it 3. 5 because it's exactly like two dozen other books by her which I loved but 1 because it's exactly like two dozen other books by her. Too much filler, same type of dialog and banter. I'm just over THAT story told, inserting various characters. I love Kristen Ashley so it makes me sad to be so negative but there it is. I wanted to love it but I just.... didn't.

Review: Taking Chances

Yeah, I gave it four stars but I really want to give it one because I don't like getting my heart broken into a million pieces by a freaking book! I'm not even kidding, I was supposed to be making a huge dinner for my family but I had to read this book some more and then... well, you'll see... I was devastated and ruined and in the end, for me, the story wasn't worth the hurt. And I do mean HURT. ThanksABunch, Molly!

Review: Confessions

Confessions by Ryne Douglas Pearson

The first person point of view in novels is my favorite and now Father Jerome is my favorite. The spiritual struggle never takes away from the mystery of Father Jerome's sister's death. Beginning with a deathbed confession, this story takes off and weaves you through conspiracy and heartbreak and suspense beautifully. Great writing throughout.

The first half of the book is a bit slow but once you get through that and the story picks up, you realize you really did need the beginning, slow or not.

In the end my thought was, "Whoa, I didn't see that coming..."

You won't find my doors and windows unlocked anymore... This guy, an FBI agent in the Behavioral Science Unit, studied rapists, murderers, and all manner of depravity. In this book he takes you a bit deeper into the horrors of the crimes than you might want to go. Unless you're me, I love depravity!

From the well known stories like the psycho who committed the Atlanta Child Murders to lesser known deviants in small town Nebraska, the terror you'll learn about is fascinating and terrifying. If you love True Crime, this is a must read.
