Only the 2nd or 3rd John Grisham book I've read and I'm hooked. This one was good. Lots of character detail but it doesn't bog down the story and the end has a good twist, one you really don't see coming. Also a tad sad - not that I cried or anything...

Review: The Promise

The Promise by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I could give it one star or five so I gave it 3. 5 because it's exactly like two dozen other books by her which I loved but 1 because it's exactly like two dozen other books by her. Too much filler, same type of dialog and banter. I'm just over THAT story told, inserting various characters. I love Kristen Ashley so it makes me sad to be so negative but there it is. I wanted to love it but I just.... didn't.

Review: Taking Chances

Taking Chances by Molly McAdams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yeah, I gave it four stars but I really want to give it one because I don't like getting my heart broken into a million pieces by a freaking book! I'm not even kidding, I was supposed to be making a huge dinner for my family but I had to read this book some more and then... well, you'll see... I was devastated and ruined and in the end, for me, the story wasn't worth the hurt. And I do mean HURT. ThanksABunch, Molly!
